As an artistic person, I have always been interested in writing and art. I have taught myself various art software and studied digital art, I went on to do logo design and some book cover design. I am a graduate of Graphic Design from a technical college, and I would like to design a graphic novel someday. I love to read and do as much as time allows. Some of my favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Nicholas Evans, Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, Dean Kootz, and Stephen King. I have always wanted to write, and I have written three novels and one children’s book. I sent my previous novels to agents, but when some felt it wasn't for them, I indie-published them, and have done pretty well, earning several five-star reviews. I am originally a California native but now reside in Georgetown, Ky. I have many ideas for several other books and want to get started on them soon. SHYLA is a struggling artist and the wife of an up-and-coming lawyer, TONY CARINO. With their marriage on rocky ground, Tony lands a higher-earning job with perks, it comes with a relocation stipulation to another state and an altogether different way of living for them. Living isolated and near the woods proves to be an artistic outlet for Shyla, she finds herself exploring the woods for her photography projects, only what she finds is almost unbelievable, HESIOD, a young handsome Satyr, who at first was only out to do what comes most natural to Satyr’s, seduce young human female’s with his wooded instrument he has made for that purpose until he meets Shyla. As they explore the woods together and spend more time at the waterfall and watching fairies, a bond grows between them that heats up their desires and love. Shyla is pushed toward Hesiod when she finds out about Tony’s extracurricular activities at work and his secrets. Shyla and Hesiod spend time together hidden in the forest making them targets for man-eating wolves and Hesiod vulnerable to hunters.  As the desire for them to be together strengthens, Shyla makes a mistake that costs Hesiod’s secrecy and the attention of a greedy forest ranger and two of his accomplices, Dale Clark is the mastermind behind capturing Hesiod and getting a payout to have him studied.  Shyla tries gallantly to protect the magical love she has found with Hesiod only to throw herself into the pot of danger doing so.  Tony begins to wonder if his affair was worth losing Shyla as his motives and attitude change along the way. When Shyla is kidnapped along with Hesiod, he finds out just how much he loves her and what he’s willing to do for her, but then he learns how intense Shyla’s and Hesiod’s love is for each other. Tony tracks them down and braves a rescue, but Hesiod has to return to the forest to keep himself hidden and safe as Shyla waits for him to return for her.  

It would seem the odds are against them even at the end when Shyla hears of a creature killed by the hunters in the forest and she hasn’t seen Hesiod in days. She fears the worst.  I researched certain areas of my book, one being the name I chose for Hesiod, Satyr’s are of Greek mythology and Hesiod was a poet and a music maker, so the name seemed fitting.

Set in the future where women are the major population and monitor of all males, men are “kept” for fertilization, or the ones that are kept for work are castrated, some elite few are used as pleasurers after rigorous screening and testing procedures, rouge males are “processed” and used for fertilizer in the gardens. Kept in secure places, men are tested and monitored for the best DNA and tested for the best personality traits. But one of the young scientists, LILLY BLOOM ends up falling in love with one of the males, MARK SUMNER, who tests with less than acceptable qualities, changing his results, he is put into the pleasurer program, but when he rejects the headmistress, Diane’s advances, this possess problems and all kinds of conflict, a murder mystery, and a diligent Operative that won’t let up. When Mark, the man Lilly loves is sentenced to castration or worse, she has to find a way to free him and keep him alive without causing an uprising. Meanwhile, her new job produces problems of their own for Lilly and it’s up to Mark to save her. She and her co-workers form a strong bond, doing things each one never thought they would do for each other, they all decide to look for a better life which takes them on wild adventures.  

This story follows the life and romance of EMILEE EVANS, and her best friend, SALLY WYATT, who meet a well-known horse whisperer, DYLAN MURPHY, at an equine clinic one weekend in Sundance, Wyoming. That in turn leads them on a ride they will not soon forget, with Emilee’s loyal companion, Juniper, by her side. Meeting Dylan brings her back into the world of horses that she had given up years ago, after an emotional falling out with her father. Dylan happens upon an injured wild Mustang, and after bringing it home, Dylan mentors and coaches Emilee along, as they work together to enter a fierce competition. A romance soon blossoms between Dylan and Emilee, which proves to be fate. After wandering off the road, looking for work and a bunk, Shane proves to be a challenge and an ongoing problem for Dylan and Emilee. Dylan, with his trustworthy foreman Cody, and his two hands, end up fighting for the ranch left to Dylan and his estranged brother, years before. Meanwhile, a family secret the two brothers bear threatens to get in the way of the couple’s newfound happiness. Some messy predicaments prove to be a challenge along the way, for both Dylan and Emilee, trying to keep the beloved ranch and their relationship intact. Finally, combining their fortitude and strengths, and a surprisingly generous gift from her father, they find a life of rewards and peace in the wild high country of Wyoming.
